The meals provided to you from Kendal’s Kitchen (Kendal’s Kitchen, LLC), also referred to as “the company,” are prepared in a licensed facility following King County health regulations. Kendal’s Kitchen produces meals with gluten-free ingredients but are produced in a shared kitchen where an assortment of ingredients are used, including but not limited to gluten, nuts, dairy and soy.
Kendal’s Kitchen assumes no liability for allergic reactions or illness due to food sensitivities or mishandling of food. It is the customer’s responsibility to select the foods that are safe for whom the food is intended. The company also provides heating instructions to the customer, which details proper heating procedures for the food being delivered. King County Health Department regulations state that reheated food should reach an internal temperature of 165°. The instructions provided are guidelines and depending on method and amount of food being heated, times vary. It is the sole responsibility of the customer for maintaining the health and safety standards of the food upon receipt.
Because Kendal’s Kitchen orders vary greatly from week to week, determining delivery windows in advance of delivery day (Tuesday) is not possible. Making prior arrangements for the delivery to arrive in the customer’s absence is the best default and instructions to knock first may be included in the order. When absolutely necessary, communications via text message or phone are best for delivery day instructions and inquiries.
When unable to be present to accept delivery, Kendal’s Kitchen requests the customer to provide a secure location in which a required cooler is located for depositing the delivery bag and contents. The best spots are out of direct sunlight and secure. The company packages and delivers the meals with ice packs and insulation to keep the food within a safe temperature-time window when it arrives to the customer. The customer assumes responsibility for providing temperature control (either by refrigeration or freezing upon receipt, or providing a sufficient cooler for receipt in the customer’s absence). Kendal’s Kitchen does not offer insurance or reimbursement for stolen deliveries or for food spoiled from neglect of sufficient cooler provision.
During inclement weather, Kendal’s Kitchen will work proactively to find ways to avoid unsafe conditions when delivering to customers. If severe weather is forecasted to coincide with our normal delivery day, we will contact customers to arrange the best alternative. Alternatives may include a postponed meal production and full delivery, a refund or credit, or a partial delivery consisting of frozen foods only. Kendal’s Kitchen will accommodate clients to ensure the best possible outcome while maintaining standards of safety.
Cancellations may be made any time before the ordering cycle ends at 6 p.m. Friday. Once product has been purchased to fulfill your order, the possibility for a full refund has passed. We can refund you for the cost of any frozen items in your order only. If requested before the order deadline, (Friday, 6pm) a 100% refund will be returned within 14 days. Kendal’s Kitchen goes to great lengths to provide excellent nutrition and quality in our meals. We inspect each order as we package it. If upon receipt, you notice anything missing or damaged, please notify us immediately; we will arrange for a prompt replacement, substitution or credit. If, at any time you are dissatisfied with the quality of an item, you may return your purchase for a refund of the item value.
Kendal’s Kitchen respects your privacy and will protect and carefully manage any contact information (your name, mailing address, email address, telephone number, etc.) you share with us. Kendal’s Kitchen will not sell or solicit any information without written consent. At no time does Kendal’s Kitchen store financial information (credit card, bank account numbers, etc.) within the company; however, the payment processor we use offers that service with security measures in place. Because of technical integration issues, Kendal’s Kitchen has chosen to not activate credit card storage services, so the customer will have to enter payment information for each purchase at this time.
Kendal’s Kitchen, LLC reserves the right, at any time, to modify, alter or update these Terms and Conditions.
